These days, Khanh Hoa Youth Union in association with Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (SABECO) has brought New Year gifts to the poor in disadvantaged localities in Khanh Hoa Province.
In Khanh Vinh District, the gifts were delivered at the local Center of Culture & Sports. Pi Nang Ma Da Dong Village, Dong Cau Commune says, “I’m so happy that my commune is among recipients for the New Year charity program.”

Before gifts were given, the volunteers also helped take photos of kids with stunning instant prints for free. Children were in queues excitedly waiting for their turns. “We are all happy for the good deeds. After an interesting musical show and quizzes, New year gifts, containing cakes, sweets and rice and other necessities were handed over to the local. I have bought few cakes and sweets for the Tet. That’s all what I can prepare for the New Year celebration. I’m so thankful for the New Year gift which means so much to me. I was taken here by my grandchild early in the morning to get the gift,” says Cao Thi Mien, Khanh Nam Commune.
900 New Year gifts were donated to the needy in Cam Ranh City (Cam Nghia Ward, Cam Phuc Nam, cam Thanh Nam Commune), Khanh Son District (To Hap Town, Son Trung Commune, Son Hiep), Dien Khanh (Dien Khanh Town, Dien An Commune, Dien Toan), Khanh Vinh (Khanh Vinh Town, Khanh Nam Commune, Cong Cau), Van Ninh (Van Gia Town, Van Hung Commune, Van Thang) and Ninh Hoa Town (Ninh Quang Commune, Ninh Binh, Ninh Phung); 40 gifts to cadres and soldiers of border stations in Van Ninh District and Ninh Hoa Town.
Many New Year programs are scheduled to take place across the province from December 27, 2019 to January 1, 2020. The provincial Youth Union and SABECO are going to donate 940 New Year gifts worth VND500,000 each, according to Truong Tan Hung, Vice-Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union.
The New Year program for the poor is in the series of activities jointly held with the Youth Union nationwide. This is the first year the activity has been held in Khanh Hoa. The gifts were carefully chosen, suiting the needs of local residents during the New Year holiday. Thanks to the social welfare funding, nearly 1,000 gifts are expected to help with the spring festival celebration for a fulfilled and happy New Year, says Dinh Thi Huong, Telecommunications Director of SABECO.
With the 2020 Lunar New Year coming just a few weeks away, Khanh Hoa Youth Union together with SABECO has brought New Year atmosphere to the needy in remote and disadvantaged communities in Khanh Hoa Province.
