This New Year holiday, Khanh Hoa Trade Union has continued organizing a variety of New Year activities, especially the 2020 New Year get-together program for workers.
Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of the Labor Confederation says the New Year get-together program will be celebrated for the 6th time by Khanh Hoa Trade Union to create festive environment for Trade Union members and laborers in need, having occupational diseases or accidents and those who are unable to return home for the Lunar New Year family gathering.
Thanks to funding from the Trade Union, businesses and other sponsors, the Trade Union at all levels annually organizes the annual New Year get-together program which has increased its scale over the years. Since 2015, more than 70,000 Trade Union members and workers have taken part in the event. This practical activity is going to be expanded by Khanh Hoa Trade Union throughout the province this year.
The Lunar New Year program 2020 is expected to be celebrated by Khanh Hoa Trade Union at Suoi Dau Industrial Zone, Cam Lam District on January 14 (the 20th day of the last lunar month of 2019). Khanh Hoa Party Committee, People’s Council and Fatherland Front Committee will pay a visit and offer gifts to laborers. The event will include a musical show, a New Year feast with traditional chung cakes (sticky rice) and giving a gift of lucky money.
Especially, Khanh Hoa Trade Union will grant more than 1,600 New Year gifts worth more than VND500,000 each to laborers. Of those, 500 are funded by Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and over 1,000 by Khanh Hoa Youth Union. Besides, the Charity Fund of Lao Dong Newspaper will offer 30 gifts worth VND15 million; Khanh Hoa Bank for Social Policies will donate 20 gifts worth VND10 million; VNPT Khanh Hoa will give 40 gifts worth VND20 million; and Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will offer 4 gifts worth VND12 million to workers suffering from accidents.
The Trade Union at all levels is required to collect employees' ideas, suggestions and aspirations as well as assess production and business situations to promptly have solutions to ensure labor harmony and stability; coordinate with enterprises to formulate and supervise the implementation of payment of salaries, bonuses and benefits to workers before Tet, especially regulations on regional minimum applied from January 2020.
The Trade Union at all levels is requested to assist Trade Union members and laborers suffering from accidents and occupational diseases; as well as report the list of those not returning home for Tet holiday in order to prepare for New Year celebration for workers or give financial assistance for their journey home; and have plans to welcome laborers back from the Lunar New Year holiday.
