Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa is accelerating the site clearance and compensation for the project on prolonged Nguyen Trai Street, Dien Khanh District. The work is expected to be completed this year.
 
The work on prolonged Nguyen Trai Street was approved by Dien Khanh District People’s Committee in 2017. Accordingly, the street originates at the intersection with the former National Road 1, Dien Khanh Town and ends at the Dien Khanh bypass, Dien Toan Commune. The total length of the street is 936m with 12m wide surface. 2.5ha of land is needed for the project worth nearly VND60 billion. Accordingly, more than VND32.5 billion is for the site clearance and VND20 billion for building. The investment funding under the Urban Development Program includes VND38 billion from the provincial budget and the remaining from the district budget.

Prolonged Nguyen Trai Street will be built in 2020.
 
According to Dien Khanh District Management Board of Construction Projects, the project will contribute to steadily improving the traffic system, enhancing urban cleanliness, facilitating travel and promoting the socio-economic growth.
 
As many as 107 cases are affected by the construction project. The resettlement areas are in Dien Toan Commune and on Vo Nguyen Giap Street. 90 families have received the compensation. The land price for the compensation is based on the State regulations.
 
Nguyen Huu Hung, Vice-Chairman of Dien Khanh District People’s Committee says the project on prolonged Nguyen Trai Street is very important and it has approved by the district People’s Council through the public medium-term investment 2017 to be developed in the period 2018 - 2020. The street construction is in the local strategic planning, considered as a base for upgrading Dien Khanh. The district is accelerating site clearance, removing barriers related to site clearance compensation to develop the project soon.
 
Dien Khanh District people’s Committee has requested Dien Khanh District Management Board of Construction Projects to estimate the cost of building materials at the time of construction and the actual work quantity. 
 
Meanwhile, before the construction, investors are required to check to assure all the work items are included inside the assigned construction site. The construction is scheduled to begin after Tet and finish in 2020.
