The 2020 tree–planting campaign in memory of Uncle Ho was launched by Khanh Hoa Youth Union’s Standing Committee in Cam Lam District on February 3. Present at the event was Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Ho Van Mung, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee, Head of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Propaganda & Training.
The provincial leaders together with the Youth Union members planted 30 Terminalia catappa trees at Suoi Dau Industrial Zone’s Center of Culture & Sports; and encouraged locals to join hands to plant and protect trees in order to create more green space and aesthetic environment, helping promote the traditional cultural value.

The event initiated by Uncle Ho has become a traditional activity in the annual spring festival, contributing to preserving the environment and mitigating climate change impacts.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Youth Union’s Standing Committee offered gifts worth VND1 million each to 20 young people in need.
