243 families and people honored for voluntary blood donation

Khanh Hoa Mobilization Board for Voluntary Blood Donation held a ceremony on June 12 to honor voluntary blood donors “Giving blood. Saving life” 2020. Present at the event was Nguyen Dac Tai, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

 

243 families and people were honored in the voluntary blood donation campaign 2020. 28 families and 50 individuals were awarded by Khanh Hoa People’s Committee; 18 families and 147 individuals by Khanh Hoa Mobilization Board for Voluntary Blood Donation. On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Mobilization Board for Voluntary Blood Donation also honored Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company and Nha Trang City Women’s Union for their contribution to the voluntary blood donation campaign.

 

 

 

 

Over the past 10 years, Khanh Hoa has been in the top 10 of cities and provinces nationwide in the blood donation campaign. In 2019, 110 blood donation drives were held with the participation of more than 20,000 people, donating nearly 20,000 units of blood. 11,000 units of blood were collected in the first 6 months of 2020. Around 1,400 people joined blood donation, giving nearly 1.200 units of blood during the COVID-19 pandemic.
