19th Van Ninh District Communist Party Congress officially opens

The 19th Van Ninh District Communist Party Congress, 2020 - 2025 term, officially opened on August 18. Present at the event were Nguyen Khac Dinh, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary; Nguyen Khac Toan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Vice-Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ha Quoc Tri, Vice-Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and more than 269 representatives.

 

In the term 2015 - 2020, the district Communist Party Congress made great effort and fulfilled socio-economic development targets set in the Resolution of the 18th Van Ninh District Communist Party Congress. The economy continued growing with structure transfer in the right direction; increase in the proportion of industries, tourism and service and gradual drop in the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery. 653 new Party members were recruited, accounting for 108.8% of the plan.

 

 

 

 

In the 2020-2025 term, the district Party Committee strives to focus its leadership on strengthening the modernization and industrialization in the locality; making good use of resources; increasing the values of economic sectors, promoting the application of technology in agricultural production associated with the transformation of rural labor; reducing environmental pollution; improving local residents’ material and spiritual life; raising leadership capacity and strength of the Party organization and the quality of cadres and Party members; strengthening management effectiveness of governments at all levels; mobilizing the strength of the political system, investors, businesses and citizens to promote rapid and sustainable development in Van Ninh District.

 

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the district Communist Party, 2020 - 2025 term, with 39 members.  Bui Van Cuong continued to be elected as the district Party Committee Secretary.
