Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) donated a digital subtraction angiography (DSA) to Khanh Hoa General Hospital on October 22. Present at the handover ceremony were Nguyen Khac Dinh, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Nguyen Tan Tuan, Vice-Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The DSA is worth VND29 billion with many advanced functions. It is one of the most important examinations in the diagnosis and treatment of blood vessels. Radiopaque structures such as bones are eliminated digitally from the image, thus allowing for an accurate depiction of the blood vessels. DSA helps early intervention in congenital heart diseases in infants, reducing mortality and disability and thus easing burdens on the family and society.

On this occasion, 250 Khatoco young people joined blood donation, donating more than 200 units of blood. Besides, every year, Khatoco organizes many charity activities worth some VND3 billion/ year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Tan Tuan appreciated and honored Khatoco’s charity activities in Khanh Hoa over the past years. Especially, DSA is practical donation to Khanh Hoa General Hospital to help improve community health. The provincial leader also expressed the hope that in the coming time, Khatoco would continue showing its social responsibility with charity activities, particularly in education and health care. The Department of Health and Khanh Hoa General Hospital were required to accelerate the operation of DSA in cardiac diagnosis and treatment.
