For several years, Khanh Hoa Newspaper has always focused on social charity work and its charity mailbox has become a reliable platform where kind hearts meet, share and open to the less fortunate.

Bringing hopes to  the less fortunate

For years, Khanh Hoa Newspaper’s charity mailbox has connected kind hearts with the needy, helping many overcome their adversities. They included Be Hoang Nguyen born in 2015, suffering from B-cell lymphoma. He is the child of Be Hoang Bong and Huynh Thuy Bich Ngoc in Residential Quarter 3 in Ninh Hiep Ward, Ninh Hoa Town. The treatment process with 6 cycles of chemotherapy takes a long time, 2 years or even longer. His family has to ask for a loan of VND70 million from their friends. Their relatives are poor and thus unable to give them much help for the treatment. Since the newspaper’s call for donation, many readers have contacted the editorial office to donate nearly VND60 million to the poor child.

The leader of Khanh Hoa Newspaper and representatives of Vietcombank Nha Trang together with other benefactors give money in support of 2 orphans  Vo Nguyen Ngoc Anh and  Vo Nguyen Hoang Nhan.

Earlier, Khanh Hoa Newspaper had sought donations and received nearly VND400 million in support of the child. His father says thanks to the aid, the child has received treatment and his health has much improved with effective treatment response. He has eaten better, grown up and gained weight. His blood and spinal cord tests show normal results.

The article about two orphans named Vo Nguyen Ngoc Anh (born in 2011) and Vo Nguyen Hoang Nhan (born in 2015) in Hoi Phu Bac 1, Ninh Phu Commune, Ninh Hoa Town has touched many kind-hearted readers. More than VND200 million has been sent in support of the orphaned. Their aunt named Pham Tra My says the children were bereaved of their parents at young ages. Lacking parental care, they have received much help from their grandparents, relatives and many others, especially readers to overcome difficulties in life and continue schooling.

The pitiful condition of 3 siblings named Vo Thi Tra My, Vo Trung Thai and Vo Trung Hieu in Dai Cat 2, Ninh Phung Commune, Ninh Hoa Town, mentioned in the “Three fatherless children abandoned by their mother” article published on Khanh Hoa Newspaper has touched readers deeply. Therefore, many social organizations, charity groups, businesses and individuals have donated money, rice, milk, instant noodles, chairs, desks, bikes, rice cookers, gas cookers, etc worth hundreds of dongs to the children.

Khanh Hoa Newspaper has opened 3 saving accounts worth more than VND195 million from donors through the charity mailbox at Vietcombank Nha Trang for the children. With their family’s approval and the local authority of Ninh Phung Commune’s cooperation, SOS Nha Trang Children’s Village has received and given care to the 3 siblings until maturity.

The children have developed well, physically and mentally. They are good students, obedient and studious. They can visit their family twice a year on Lunar New Year and summer vocation, according to Le Hung Nghe, Director of SOS Nha Trang Children’s Village.
