Khanh Hoa Youth Union affiliations and youth organizations have reactivated vanguard youth teams in response to Covid-19 in the province.

 

Reactivating vanguard youth teams in response to Covid-19 

 

20/20 districts and towns, Youth Union affiliations in Khanh Hoa Province have reactivated vanguard youth teams in response to Covid-19 outbreak. (The vanguard youth teams were founded in the peak period in February and March in 2020). 136 voluntary youth teams of 136 Youth Union affiliations have joined the pandemic prevention and control to ensure every suspected patient of the novel coronavirus is located, encouraging everyone to adhere to the Ministry of Health’s “5K” guidelines and recommendations; and directing the installment of Bluezone app for the pandemic control.

 

 

 

 

 

Pham Ngoc Thach, Secretary of Nha Trang City Youth Union says Nha Trang City Youth Union has launched roving propaganda to raise public awareness of the pandemic prevention and control, especially wearing face masks and installing Bluezone app. In addition, Youth Union members and young people in the city have launched clean-up operations to disinfect physical exercise and sport facilities along the beach and in public places. In Van Ninh District, Covid-19 response vanguard youth teams have started travelling propaganda, distributing leaflets for the compliance with the Ministry of Health’s “5K” guidelines and recommendations; installment of Bluezone app in crowded public places such as markets, supermarkets and coach stations, etc.

 

Practical activities

 

According to Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, the provincial Youth Union, due to the unprecedented Covid-19 outbreak, officials of the provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation affiliations have reactivated vanguard youth teams in response to Covid-19 outbreak. 

 

On May 9, Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Federation and Young Doctors’ Association founded volunteers’ teams, comprising medical staff and young people to join in various practical activities. The Young Doctors’ Association of Ninh Hoa General Hospital; and the Town Medical Center in cooperation with Youth Union affiliations have paid visits and offered gifts, face masks and sanitizer and propagandized Bluezone app for patients at hospitals in the town. Youth Union affiliations and organizations in communes and wards have launched voluntary Sunday for the sake of the community, distributing face masks, hand sanitizer, face visors, etc. for retail traders and shoppers in Ninh Hoa Town.

 

The Young Doctors ‘Association and young people in Khanh Son District have launched travelling propaganda, distributing leaflets for Covid-19 prevention and control; given medical check-up and medications; offered 10 gifts to the disadvantaged in Thanh Son Commune. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union has re-operated pandemic control support channels to mobilize funding for more than 30,000 antinvirus face masks from businesses and social organizations.

 

Moreover, Khanh Hoa Youth Union and its affiliations have posted information and news about the pandemic situation in the province, in the country and around the world on their websites and fanpages. Furthermore, the Youth Union at all levels has also helped tackle fake and misleading information about the coronavirus. Youth Union members returning from the disease areas during the recent holiday are asked to complete health declaration as regulated. They are urged to regularly join pandemic prevention and control propaganda. All Youth Union members and young people have become more aware of proactive measures against the spread of Covid-19.
