On July 2, the Ministry of Health reported 151 new cases of Covid-19, including 4 imported cases and 147 local infections, 1 of whom is patient No. 17599 in Khanh Hoa (F1 of patient No. 13960 in Phu Yen). This has been the third Covid-19 community transmission in Khanh Hoa since June 23.
The 6-year-old patient No. 17599 staying in the same house with the patient No.13960 at 30 Buu Doa, Phuoc Long Ward, Nha Trang City has been quarantined since June 23. The first testing showed negative but the second testing showed positive for SARS-CoV-2 on July 1. The new patient is being treated at Khanh Hoa Hospital of Tropical Diseases. 4 F1 individuals of the same family had been quarantined on the same day with the patient. Earlier, the area had been disinfected and temporarily blocked. Samples of 220 residents on Buu Doa Street had been taken for testing.
Also this morning, Khanh Hoa has recorded 4 cases No. 17595, 17596, 17597 and 17598 on the flight VN62 from Russia. They have been placed under centralized quarantine upon arrival at Cam Ranh International Airport. They are treated at Khanh Hoa Hospital of Tropical Diseases.
