139 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 15 to 5pm on August 16, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 113 in Nha Trang City, 16 in Ninh Hoa, 2 in Van Ninh, 6 in Dien Khanh District, 1 in Cam Ranh City and 1 in Khanh Vinh District. 1 of these are in the community of Cam Ranh; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.
4,626 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Nha Trang City with the most cases (2,499), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,581), Dien Khanh District (229), Van Ninh District (160), Cam Lam District (77), Cam Ranh City (64), Khanh Vinh (15) and Khanh Son (1).
4,924 F1 and 11,767 F2 have been traced. 271 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
2,432 recovered cases and 32 deaths of Covid-19 have been reported since July 22.
