180 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were reported in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 16 to 5pm on August 17, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 143 in Nha Trang City, 30 in Ninh Hoa, 3 in Van Ninh, 3 in Dien Khanh District and 1 in Cam Ranh City. 1 of these are in the community of Van Ninh; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.

4,806 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Nha Trang City with the most cases (2,642), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,611), Dien Khanh District (232), Van Ninh District (163), Cam Lam District (77), Cam Ranh City (65), Khanh Vinh (15) and Khanh Son (1).
4,947 F1 and 11,829 F2 have been traced. 289 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
2,657 recovered cases and 33 deaths of Covid-19 have been reported since July 22.
