145 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were reported in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 17 to 5pm on August 18, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 125 in Nha Trang City, 8 in Ninh Hoa, 2 in Van Ninh, 5 in Dien Khanh District, 4 in Cam Ranh City and 1 in Cam Lam District. 4 of these are in the community of Cam Ranh; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.
4,951 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Nha Trang City with the most cases (2,767), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,619), Dien Khanh District (237), Van Ninh District (165), Cam Lam District (78), Cam Ranh City (69), Khanh Vinh (15) and Khanh Son (1).
5,092 F1 and 11,925 F2 have been traced. 283 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
