116 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 18 to 5pm on August 19, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 83 in Nha Trang City, 15 in Ninh Hoa, 13 in Van Ninh, 3 in Dien Khanh District and 2 in Cam Ranh City. 9 of these are in the community of Cam Ranh and Van Ninh; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.

5,067 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Nha Trang City with the most cases (2,850), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,634), Dien Khanh District (240), Van Ninh District (178), Cam Lam District (78), Cam Ranh City (71), Khanh Vinh (15) and Khanh Son (1).
5,300 F1 and 12,034 F2 have been traced. 292 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
2,952 recovered cases and 37 deaths of Covid-19 have been reported since July 22.
