117 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 7 to 5pm on August 8, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 69 in Nha Trang City, 19 in Ninh Hoa, 1 in Van Ninh, 26 in Dien Khanh District, 1 in Cam Lam District and 1 in Khanh Vinh District. 27 of these are in the community of Nha Trang, Dien Khanh and Cam Lam; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.

3,337 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Ninh Hoa Town with the most cases (1,486), followed by Nha Trang City (1,469), Dien Khanh District (144), Van Ninh District (131), Cam Lam District (67), Cam Ranh City (32), Khanh Vinh (7) and Khanh Son (1). 4,599 F1 and 11,214 F2 have been traced. 265 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded. 330,601 samples have been taken for RT-PCR testing and 857,518 others for antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic testing in Khanh Hoa Province.
1,011 recovered cases and 26 deaths of Covid-19 have been reported since July 22.
