123 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province from 5pm on August 8 to 5pm on August 9, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
The new cases include 94 in Nha Trang City, 13 in Ninh Hoa, 6 in Van Ninh, 6 in Dien Khanh District, 1 in Cam Ranh, 2 in Cam Lam District and 1 in Khanh Vinh District. 7 of these are in the community of Nha Trang City; and the others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.
3,460 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Ninh Hoa Town with the most cases (1,499), followed by Nha Trang City (1,563), Dien Khanh District (150), Van Ninh District (137), Cam Lam District (69), Cam Ranh City (33), Khanh Vinh (8) and Khanh Son (1). 4,665 F1 and 11,288 F2 have been traced. 270 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded.
