Khanh Hoa Public Security jointly with medical and military force and local authorities has made effort to pursue the dual goals of security maintenance and epidemic control in the province.
To prevent Covid-19 spread into the province, Khanh Hoa Public Security has provided consultancy for the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to establish 10 interdisciplinary check-points on the National Highway 1, 26 and 27C at the gateways connecting to the provinces of Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, at Nha Trang Railway Station, Suoi Dau Industrial Zone, etc. and 21 epidemic control and security inspection teams on provincial roads. All the check-points and inspection teams are managed by the provincial police jointly with medical and military and border guard forces to maintain round-the-clock patrols.

According to Colonel Dao Xuan Lan, Director of Khanh Hoa Public Security, besides many professional tasks, Khanh Hoa Public Security has arranged human forces to efficiently assure the dual goals during the pandemic outbreak.
For over 1 month, 1,055 cadres and soldiers jointly with medical staff and security force of wards and villages have maintained security at 135 locked-down areas, 7 medical establishments and 14 centralized quarantine zones. The ward and commune police have cooperated with medical agencies to trace 10,000 F1 and F2 individuals; and support the transport of thousands of F0 and F1 to centralized quarantine zones and hospitals for treatment. The police have helped comb communities to ensure those returning from epicenters of the novel coronavirus outbreak is under medical monitoring.
In addition, the police have promptly used surveillance cameras to support health authorities to trace F1 and F2. Through patrols, the Police of Nha Trang City, Ninh Hoa Town and Van Ninh District have detected and handled 448 cases of violations of epidemic prevention and control regulations. The Internal Political Security Department has coordinated with the Provincial Department of Information and Communications to handle coronavirus misinformation, imposing fines of VND22.5 million in 4 cases.
According to Major Hoang The Anh, Chief of Ninh Loc Traffic Police Station, Khanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Police Division, traffic police have checked 26,383 cars and 194 motorbikes; supported medical agencies to conduct SARS-CoV-2 antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic testing on 1,098 people, identifying 4 suspects of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
In addition, the provincial police have also created and donated 1,100 face shields to police of Nha Trang City and Ninh Hoa Town; sought donations to provide 10,500 packets of instant noodles, 6,000 bottles of drinking water, 10,000 face masks, 1,100 medical gloves and so on to check-points and residents in areas hard hit by the pandemic in Nha Trang City and Ninh Hoa Town.
Moreover, together with pandemic prevention and control, the police have fulfilled crime and delinquency prevention and control, ensuring security and order in the province. Over the past month, Khanh Hoa police have detected 47 social order crimes and investigated 41 cases with 89 people involved, accounting for 87.23%.
