Since Cam Ranh City People’s Committee launched the campaign "All people get engaged in keeping the community safe from Covid-19" on August 9, the whole political system and residents have joined effort with high determination to contain the pandemic, maintaining and gradually expanding Covid-free "green zones".
 
Tightening checks in Covid-free zones
 
In response to the campaign "All people get engaged in keeping the community safe from Covid-19",the maintenance and expansion of Covid-free "green zones" have been also focused together with the blockade and tight checks in risk areas where F0 individuals are identified, according to Lam Thi Phuong Nga, Secretary of Cam Loc Ward Party Committee.

Nguyen An, Chairman of Cam Binh Commune People’s Committee said Cam Binh Commune has seen no case of Covid so far. The local authority has enhanced inspection of vessels to and back from Binh Ba and Binh Hung. In compliance with the social distancing order under the Directive 16 in Cam Ranh City, residents are not allowed to leave the islands, except for medical emergencies and pandemic control. Outsiders are not permitted to enter the areas to keep the islands free from Covid-19 infection.
 
 
Ensuring food supply
 
 
Binh Ba and Binh Hung are still seafood providers for Khanh Hoa Province and Ho Chi Minh City during the on-going pandemic. The purchase is in compliance with 5K guidance. Approximately 500kg of seafood is transported to other localities a day on average. The vegetable growing area in Cam Phuoc Dong is still safe from Covid-19. With 25ha of vegetable all year round, this is an important vegetable provider for the city, according to Nguyen An.

Lam Ngoc Trong, Chairman of Cam Phuoc Dong Commune People’s Committee said the island commune still ensures sufficient supply of food for markets and supermarkets in the city. Transporters of goods are required to obtain permits from the commune authority to meet the pandemic prevention and control regulations. Cam Phuoc Dong, Cam Thanh Nam and part of Cam Nghia are vegetable providers for markets, supermarkets and Bach Hoa Xanh Stores in the city. 
 
Aqua-culturists together with feeders and feeding time must be registered. The port entry and exit time is within 2-10 hours/day. Cam Ranh Border force is to regulate port entry and exit to avoid congestion and large gathering, according to Luong Duc Hai, Secretary of Cam Ranh City People’s Committee.
 

Luong Duc Hai, Chairman of Cam Ranh City Party Committee, Secretary of the City People’s Committee: the city will continue the community testing in an attempt to expand the “green areas", narrow the “red and orange” as well as assure sufficient supply of food in not only Cam Ranh but also other localities in the province. Besides the effort of the local Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front Committee and other organizations, the joint effort and determination of all residents are really vital in the battle against the pandemic.
