The 220kV Van Phong and 220kV Nha Trang transformer stations ensure the protection of workers from Covid-19 exposure by applying isolation regulations. Power transmission teams of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh are divided in half, working separately. 30% of office work is done at the office and the remaining 70% at home. All employees must bring all required documents with them when going to work and are forced to keep safe distance, at least 2m, from others and comply with 5K regulations. The company has cooperated with medical centers to conduct rapid diagnostic testing for all staff on duty (every 3 days); and disinfect offices and rest areas.

The leader of the company has also paid great concern over the supply of food and other daily necessities for teams remaining at the workplace to help them stay safe and healthy from Covid-19 infection risks. Nguyen Nghia, Deputy Director, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Power Transmission Company Trade Union said, “The Trade Union and Youth Union of the company are trying the best to support power network employees remaining on-site by providing them adequate supplies and motivating them to fulfill their duties safely; making sure all power network employees present for any power grid emergency response."

Khanh Hoa Power Transmission Company under Power Transmission Company 3 is in charge of 220kV electricity grids with 2 transformer stations with a total capacity of 813MVA and 232km of lines in Khanh Hoa Province and part of M’Drăk District, Dak Lak Province, ensuring power supply for Southern Central provinces, highlands and neighboring areas.

In spite of some inconvenience in life from the isolation period, all employees have well adhered to the regulations to ensure stable power supply at medical facilities, serve residents’ daily life and meet the national production development.

“When asked to remain on-site to ensure safety for production, all the staff follow regulations and bring along all necessities and food for use at the workplace for several days. We strictly obey the company regulations and guidance when at work or in daily life to ensure complete safety for ourselves. We are willing to follow social distance regulations to join the front-line workers to combat the pandemic,” said Le Thanh Nam, Cam Ranh Power Transmission Company.

Khanh Hoa Power Transmission has always strictly complied with the local directives and solutions for disease prevention and control. Therefore, amid the Covid-19 epidemic, Khanh Hoa Power Transmission has safely managed, operated and maintained transmission grids in the locality meeting schedules; ensuring stable power supply. The unit has determined that its current key political task is to fulfill the dual goal of safety and pandemic control to serve socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security in the locality in particular and the whole country in general.
