Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control reported 128 more recovered from Covid-19 in Khanh Hoa from 7am on September 2 to 7am on September 3, bringing the tally to 4,818 since July 22.
 
During the period, 74 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in Khanh Hoa Province. The new cases include 41 in Nha Trang City, 20 in Ninh Hoa District, 11 in Van Ninh and 2 in Cam Lam District. 7 of the new cases are in the community of Nha Trang City; and others are home-quarantined and locked-down and centralized quarantine areas.
 
6,678 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Khanh Hoa since June 23 with infections identified in 8/9 districts and towns, including Nha Trang City with the most cases (3,871), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,817), Van Ninh District (483), Dien Khanh District (253), Cam Ranh City (130), Cam Lam District (106), Khanh Vinh (17) and Khanh Son (1). 
 
The districts of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son have recorded 14-day streak of no locally transmitted coronavirus cases.

7,491 F1 and 12,846 F2 have been traced. 62 areas related to positive cases have been temporarily blockaded. 490,634 samples have been taken for RT-PCR testing and 3,042,933 others for antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic testing in Khanh Hoa Province. The provincial Center for Disease Control also recorded 57 deaths of Covid-19 since July 20.
 
According to the Provincial Steering Committee for Human Disease Prevention and Control, 1,176 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered in Khanh Hoa on September 2, raising the total to 163,420 doses, including 138,281 first doses and 41,428 second shots during the on-going coronavirus wave.  
 
The Provincial Covid-19 Relief Center has received more than VND12.72 billion, over VND9.68 billion of which has been used to support the pandemic response and buy food to help struggling families. Besides, the center has also received 415.15 tons of rice, 138 tons of vegetables and fruits; 453,500 eggs; 2,471 boxes of necessities of all kinds; 2 ambulances, 15,000 face masks; 2,000 sets of medical protective gears, 31 ventilators, 2,000 SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid testing devices, etc. 406.09 tons of rice and all the vegetables and medical equipment have been sent to the health care sector.
