Proactive response measures against pandemic
Since the on-going coronavirus wave, Khanh Hoa Department of Taxation has founded a Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control at the Department of Taxation and its branches to ensure prompt response to the pandemic. The Provincial Department of Taxation and its branches have developed specific Covid-19 workplace safety practices to safeguard the against pandemic, according to Luong Xuan Thu, Chief of the Taxpayer Support & Propaganda Office, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Taxation.
In addition, under Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee’s direction, the Department of Taxation and branches have responded to the campaign "All people get engaged in keeping the community safe from Covid-19" in the province.
All units in the sector have assessed the Covid-19 pandemic situation and strictly adhered to the guidance of the Party Committee and local authorities to promptly direct the epidemic prevention and control in each unit. The Provincial Department of Taxation has regularly mobilized and propagated its cadres, public servants and employees to strictly comply with epidemic prevention and control regulations, and maintain vigilance against the pandemic; as well as ensured sufficient supplies of medical equipment, including body temperature monitors, face masks, protective gears, face shields, sanitizers, disinfectants, etc.
Getting involved in social work
Moreover, promoting the traditional solidarity and mutual support, the Department of Taxation has launched the campaign for contribution to Covid-19 prevention and control among cadres, public servants and laborers.
After 2 contribution campaign drives, officials, public servants and employees of the provincial taxation sector have donated more than VND253 million, including VND131 million to the Provincial Covid-19 Relief Center and more than VND122 million to support the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines in the province.
Furthermore, the Youth Union of the Department of Taxation has launched the contribution campaign to help those struggling due to the pandemic, distributing 500kg of rice to the free rice charity program launched by the Provincial Youth Union; and 25 gifts worth VND300,000 each to disadvantaged families in Nhi Su Village, Ninh Than Commune, Ninh Hoa Town. The Department of Taxation will continue the propaganda to urge public servants and laborers to join hands to support Covid-19 relief efforts of the local authorities and the community in the battle against the Covid-19 outbreak.
