Nha Trang has just removed Covid-19 lockdown restrictions in the 4 communes and wards of Vinh Luong, Vinh Phuoc, Vinh Tho and Vinh Truong to shift to coronavirus risk-based approach in specific villages and quarters. Restrictions have been eased in Covid-free “green zones” and risk “yellow zones” while stringent checks maintain in “red zones” and “orange zones”. Shopping coupons will be delivered to residents in “green and orange zones” every 3 days.

Coronavirus restriction loosened, stringent checks boosted

On September 7, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee issued a directive on Covid-19 prevention and control measures based on risk levels of villages and quarters in Khanh Hoa Province from September 8 until further notice, said Ho Van Mung, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Committee, Nha Trang City Party Committee Secretary. Accordingly, Covid-19 lockdown restrictions in the 4 communes and wards of Vinh Luong, Vinh Phuoc, Vinh Tho and Vinh Truong have been removed and shifted to the coronavirus risk-based approach with  restrictions loosened in “green and yellow zones” and stringent protective measures maintaining in “red and orange zones” under the provincial People’s Committee’s instructions.

The city will further promote self-managed teams’ roles to protect and maintain “green zones” and mobilize medical forces and volunteers to accelerate Covid-19 community testing in “red and orange zones” to help contain Covid-19 and take significant steps back to new normal.

Together with loosening coronavirus restrictions, Nha Trang will boost propaganda to urge everyone to continue adhering to the Ministry of Health’s “5K” recommendations. Meanwhile, checks will be enhanced to ensure everyone meet regulatory compliances, including avoiding large gatherings, wearing face masks, etc. when going out. Coronavirus restrictions eased in “green and yellow zones” will help to resume part of production and business activities and other daily life.

Residents are asked to adhere to Covid-19 prevention and control regulations, especially 5K guidance when leaving home. Although the pandemic is basically under control in the province, the risk of resurgence still remains. Some check-points have been removed while roving security patrols will be boosted to ensure compliance with the coronavirus regulations. In addition, random inspections will be conducted at manufacturing and business establishments and constructions sites. Severe punishment, including suspension of production or business, will be imposed on violations.

Going shopping allowed in “green and yellow areas” every 3 days

Nha Trang City People’s Committee has issued a guidance about going shopping when the social distancing under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16/CT-TTg eases in the city. According to Luu Thanh Nhan, Vice-Chairman of Nha Trang City People’s Committee, residents in “green and yellow zones” in the city will be offered coupons for going shopping every 3 days in the morning or in the afternoon from September 8. Residents themselves may go shopping or have assistance teams go shopping for them. In “red and orange zones”, besides online shopping, assistance teams may help residents with the shopping.

In order to ensure sufficient supply of food, Nha Trang City will continue implementing the model of "bringing markets to streets" in 27 communes and wards and mobile stores known as food trucks. Nha Trang City has requested Dam Market Company, Ltd. and the Management Board of the markets of Xom Moi, Vinh Hai, Phuong Son and Phuoc Thai (Binh Tan) to urgently survey locations (in front of the markets) to run the model of "bringing markets to streets"; encouraged supermarkets and convenience stores in Nha Trang City to have staff take shopping orders and choose goods for customers waiting outside; and the Provincial Post Office to run stalls selling essential items at cultural post offices in communes to serve customers.
