34 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were detected in the province from 7am on October 17 to 7am on October 18, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control. The new cases include 16 in Nha Trang City, 2 in Cam Ranh City, 10 in Ninh Hoa Town, 5 in Cam Lam District and 1 in Van Ninh District. 2 of the cases are of community infection in Nha Trang and Cam Ranh.
During the period, Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control reported 89 more recovered from Covid-19 in Khanh Hoa Province.
8,475 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Khanh Hoa since June 23. Nha Trang City has the most cases (4,803), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (2,118), Van Ninh District (810), Dien Khanh District (280), Cam Ranh City (224), Cam Lam District (188), Khanh Vinh (51) and Khanh Son (1). Khanh Son District has gone more than 14 days without a new locally transmitted coronavirus case.
