Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union together with Cam Ranh City Youth Union has provided free vehicle maintenance and repairs at the Covid-19 check-point on the National Highway 1 running through Cam Thinh Dong Commune, Cam Ranh City, helping improve the safety of trips back home during the coronavirus crisis.
Losing work due to Covid-19, Nguyen Khac Son and his wife decided to took a long motorcycle ride back home to Nghe An from Dong Nai. When arriving in Ca Na Commune, Ninh Thuan Province, they got a flat tire but they could not find any vehicle maintenance and repair service, so they had to keep filling the tire with air many times on the way and luckily, when reaching Cam Ranh City, they could get it fixed at the free vehicle repair station. “The young people here were so enthusiastic and helpful. They checked and fixed the flat tire for us so that we could continue our journey,” said Nguyen Khac Son.
Another worker named Vo Si Tung said, “I am a self-employed worker in Ho Chi Minh City. Out of work due to the pandemic, I ride a motorbike back home in Quang Ngai Province. I am offered drinking water and food on the way home through cities and provinces and free motorbike service here. It is so practical and meaningful to us.”
The vehicle maintenance service and repair station is operated by volunteers from the Provincial Youth Union and Cam Ranh City Youth Union, at Covid-19 check-point on the National Highway 1 running through Cam Thinh Dong Commune. People returning home from southern provinces and cities when stopping for medical declaration at the check-point in Khanh Hoa may receive free technical vehicle check, maintenance and repair from volunteers from Cam Ranh Youth Union and members of Honda 67 Cam Ranh Club.
