Khanh Hoa Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has just issued temporary measures against Covid-19 in public transport service in the province from October 13.
 
2 phases of public transport service 
 
There are 2 temporary phases of public transport service. The first phase is from October 13 to October 20 with road and waterway transport service resuming 50% of vehicles in compliance with distancing regulations, not exceeding 50% of the usual seating capacity.
 
The interprovincial fixed route public transport service is moving step by step to resumption in joint effort with other cities and provinces to assure compliance with the pandemic prevention and control, not exceeding 30% of trips within 7 days approved by the Department of Transport, not exceeding 50% of the usual seating capacity (the distancing regulation is not applicable for sleeper tour buses).

Road, rail and air transport connectivity meeting Covid-19 safety regulations will be resumed to facilitate travel and avoid traffic obstruction. Staff pick-up or drop-off service is allowed to operate at 100% of the seating capacity in conformity with medical conditions and regulations by the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
 
In the 2nd phase from October 21 to November 15, the road and waterway passenger transport service will be adjusted to adapt to the actual pandemic situations.
 
Public  transport service has resumed after months of closure due to Covid-19, facilitating recovery of production and business, removing difficulties of the transport sector while still meeting pandemic prevention and control as well as travel demand, said Cao Tan Loi, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport.
 
Regulations for passengers
 
There is temporary guidance for travelers from other areas to Khanh Hoa. Specifically, travelers from risk or high risk areas must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have recovered from Covid-19 within 6 months; have negative PT- PCR tests taken 72 hours prior to the departure; and adhere to pandemic prevention and control measures regulated by the Ministry of Health and local authorities.
 
Upon arrival in Khanh Hoa, travelers will be under health monitoring against  the spread of the virus; undergo testing for SARS-CoV-2 on the second day returning to the place of residence; and follow the instructions of local health authorities. If passengers are detected with such symptoms as fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc. or tested positive for the virus, the response procedures will be implemented as regulated.
 
Regarding inner provincial road and inland waterway transport services, passengers must have Covid digital passes for fully or partly vaccination. Partly vaccinated travelers are required to show negative PT- PCR tests taken 72 hours prior to the departure. 
 
If not having Covid digital passes on the PC-Covid app, travelers may present identity cards and one of the documentations: certificates for full vaccination against Covid-19 with the second dose administered at least 14 days before travel; certificates for the first vaccine dose with the first taken at least 14 days before travel; negative PT- PCR tests taken 72 hours prior to the departure; hospital discharge certificates for those having recovered from  Covid-19 within 6 months. Besides, specific regulations are stipulated for drivers, transport businesses; management agencies of bus, coach and ship docks before, during and after the transportation.
