The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) held a review workshop phase 2019 – 2021 and kick-off workshop phase 2021 – 2023 of the project entitled “Enhancing emergency response capacity of Vietnam Red Cross” in Nha Trang City on November 26. Present at the event were representatives of Vietnam Red Cross and the Red Cross of provinces where the project was developed.
The project was carried out from October 2019 to June 2021, focusing on training on first aid and emergency response; providing basic facilities for response teams, and disaster control and rescue rehearsal and propaganda. The project was developed in Ninh Dong Commune and Ninh Ha Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province, benefiting over 37,150 people in the 2019 – 2021 phase.
The project in the 2021 - 2023 phase is scheduled to be implemented in the provinces of Khanh Hoa (Ninh Son Commune and Ninh Phu Commune in Ninh Hoa Town), Son La, Nghe An and An Giang.
