Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training has held a ceremony to mark the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20), award the title “meritorious teacher” and commend individuals and organizations in the school year 2020-2021. Present at the event were Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; and Dinh Van Thieu, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

At the event, Dinh Van Thieu appreciated teachers’ contribution to the provincial education and training development and requested the education and training sector together with the whole society to improve facilities and techniques at schools; boost community participation in the construction and development of education; make innovation in teaching methods to catch up with the advance in the world; and raise teaching staff’s competence and professionalism.
The Provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman also expressed the hope that the Party leaders, the Government, agencies, organizations and residents would join effort to contribute to the development of the education and further improving teachers’ life.

On this occasion, on behalf of the State President, provincial leaders gave the title “meritorious teacher” to 6 individuals and flags of emulation by the Government to Nguyen Van Troi High School; certificates of merit by the Prime Minister to 2 individuals for their outstanding achievements in education and training from the 2015 – 2016 to 2019 – 2020, contributing to the national construction. The Ministry of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 18 individuals for achievements in the emulation. campaign “Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning” in the 2020-2021 school year. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented an emulation flag to 1 group; awarded the title "Excellent Labor Collective" to 16 groups; certificates of merit to 5 groups and 85 individuals.
