Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has just issued the plan on rolling out COVID-19 vaccine additional and booster shots in the province in 2021 and 2022.
Accordingly, Khanh Hoa will roll out 1,375,000 COVID-19 vaccine additional and booster shots in 2020 and 2021 on the basis of actual vaccine supply progress of the Ministry of Health, including 45,000 shots of Moderna; 670,000 shots of Pfizer; 260,000 shots of AstraZeneca; and 400,000 shots of Vero Cell.

433,770 people are expected to get the additional shots, including people aged 18 and over with moderate and severe immunodeficiency and with the second shot given at least 28 days before the additional shot. Priority is given to people aged 50 and over.
The booster shots are planned to be administer to about 952,940 people aged 18 and over who have got their second shot or additional shot at least six month before the booster shot. Priority is given to people with underlying medical conditions, people who need long-term care in medical facilities, people aged 50 and over, people who directly test, care for and treat COVID-19 patients, and health staff.
