In addition to organizing activities and enhance the festive ambience, schools have also had plans to support kids from disadvantaged families. The Young Pioneer Detachment has coordinated with the school to raise more than VND6 million worth of New Year gifts. Phuoc Long 2 Primary School organized a spring program, giving 60 gifts together with rice to 100 members and students in difficult circumstances.

On January 19, Nha Trang City Youth Union organized a charity trip to Lac Duong District, Lam Dong Province, offering 50 New Year gifts, containing candies, study items and warm coats to kids in need. Tan Lap 1 Primary School together with the City Comrade Associate is planning to offer 50 gifts to the disadvantaged; and cooperated with the Parent Association to give 18 gifts to school children.

Youth Union affiliations in the city are implementing many activities to support students in difficult circumstances for the Lunar New Year celebration. The activities held by Young Pioneer Detachments at schools to create festive atmosphere for kids are in various forms such as organizing New Year decoration competitions and giving Tet gifts to children.

The City Comrade Associate is implementing the mutual support programs in order to mobilize donations, including school supplies to help kids in disadvantaged communities. The activities are contributing to ensuring students in financial hardship have a happier and more fulfilled new year holiday, according to Chu Minh Phuong, Deputy Secretary of Nha Trang City Youth Union.
