Nha Trang City is famous for one of the most beautiful beaches but also an impressive 7km coastline with stretches of incredibly shaped pine trees. Their existence has gone through the history and cultural development of the captivating destination of Nha Trang seaside city.
From early in the morning, the beach is full of people doing exercise. Under the shady pine trees are old women practicing internal martial arts along melodious music. In the beach park, every day, people do jogging or relaxing on stone benches under big pine trees. At noon, Nha Trang Beach becomes an ideal place for locals and tourists to stop for relaxation and enjoy the cool fresh air.

The old pine trees have witnessed stories and memories of many generations of Nha Trang residents, creating a romantic setting for many couples. The beach park becomes the attraction of the seaside city. Over years, the park has been renovated with lawns and other green space. Along the alleys are physical exercise and sport facilities and distinctive architectural structures in harmony with the nature. For many tourists, the most impression about Nha Trang are maybe lines of pine trees along the beach.
The trees, 15 –35 m tall, are growing well on coastal sandy areas. Beach pine trees are beautifully trimmed and kept at the height of 3 to 10m. According to Nguyen Huu Hung, Chief of the tree trimming service team of Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, the pine trees started to be trimmed and pruned 40 years ago into cute shapes of pyramid, square, spiral cone, etc. From then on, the old pine trees are pruned 6 times a year. Over half a century, 2,000 pine trees have gone through gradual changes of shapes, creating breathtaking scenic views of Nha Trang Beach Park.

The public green space will be expanded and connected when the existing restaurants and hotels are removed to other places. The pine trees will add more green attraction to the city. The province has determined to withdraw some projects along the Nha Trang Beach park and expand the beach park.
Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee said, “The stretch of green space has added attraction to Nha Trang City. Therefore, we must protect and promote the value to serve both locals and visitors. The orientation has opened a new prospect of the world-class Nha Trang beach park. Those who were born and grown-up in Nha Trang are proud of the magnificent natural heritage which will last forever along with the development of the coastal city.”
In the spring afternoon, under the whistling pine trees in relaxing sound of sea waves, the song by musician Do Tri Dung resounds: "My homeland, blue pine trees, the blue sky and the sea, the waves singing peacefully. /Oh, the blue autumn sky disappears in the blue waves”… Nha Trang is peaceful and gentle. Nha Trang residents and visitors feel the peace of the beautiful coastal city. In the park are pine trees singing a melodious song and keeping memories for generations.
