Cam Ranh International Airport has just cooperated with Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to implement a project on the renovation of Cam Ranh International Airport landing area.
Accordingly, the landing area will be renovated to include 33 landing positions: 9 Code E, 2 Code D and 22 Code C, able to handle the planes B777-300ER, A350-900 and other similar types. The renovation project is of Group B, a special traffic renovation project with a total capital of over VND712 billion from ACV funding. The project is planned to have 3 phases meeting the requirements for operations during the construction which is scheduled to be complete and put into service in March 2023.
Reportedly, the existing landing area at Cam Ranh International Airport built in the 1965 – 1966 has been damaged in many sites after 50 years of use.
