The Youth Union at all levels organized various practical and meaningful activities in the Youth Month 2022, promoting young people's enthusiasm and volunteering, contributing to ensuring social security in disadvantaged communities.
Joining effort to build new rural areas
In the Youth Month 2022, the Youth Union at all levels focused on a wide variety of programs to promote young people's volunteering for the community’s sake. They got involved in building new rural areas and civilized urban ones, bringing high efficiency. Some youth projects included lighting 25km of rural roads, using green power worth more than VND485 million; building 2 houses for disadvantaged members and constructing a playground for kids with a total cost of more than VND500 million.

Regarding urban civilization development, over 180 activities were organized with the participation of more than 10,000 members, focusing on developing urban civilization for a green, clean and beautiful environment such as reducing environmental pollution, removing illegal advertisements in public places, beautifying roads and other public places with fresco paintings, parterres and so on. A good example was the so-called “green house” project for collecting scraps implemented by Cam Lam District Youth Union. In response to the “Green Sunday”, 100% of Youth Union affiliations with more than 50,000 members throughout the province joined many environmental activities such as planting more than 13,000 trees and doing clean-ups.
Contributing to ensuring social security
In addition, to ensuring social security, the provincial Youth Union had more than 260 activities, including visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, families of Heroic Vietnamese mothers and soldiers on duty at sea. The Youth Union of the Provincial Border Guard coordinated with the districts and towns to give 200 gifts worth VND500,000 each to families of Heroic Vietnamese mothers, disadvantaged residents and students; and inaugurated the youth project "Lighting up rural roads" in Son Binh Commune with a total cost of VND70 million.
Regarding community health care, the Youth Union at all levels organized more than 20 activities for doctors and physicians volunteering to give free medical check-ups, counseling, medications; and provide food safety and hygiene and epidemic prevention counseling together with propaganda and education about the laws, Children’s law and legal documents related to child care and protection; 624 scholarships offered to disadvantaged students; blood donation with over 800 units of blood collected; scientific and technical transfer to 1,150 members and young people for economic development, etc.
In spite of some challenges due to Covid-19, the Youth Union at all levels effectively organized many practical activities in the Youth Month, contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban ones, improving social security in localities," said Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.
Besides volunteering activities, propaganda and education for members and teenagers were widely and effectively deployed with more than 250 propaganda activities about the history and traditions of the Youth Union; trips to historical places and meritorious services. Besides, the contest for propaganda publications to welcome the 12th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, 2022 - 2027 period, has attracted the attendance of more than 9,000 members and young adults. The provincial Youth Union at all levels organized more than 400 activities to mark the 91st foundation anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, commended more than 500 outstanding Youth Union cadres, etc.
