Digital transformation cooperation agreement signed

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and Viettel Group signed a digital transformation cooperation agreement on May 17. Present at the event were Nguyen Hai Ninh, Central Party Committee Member, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Vice-Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee;  and Tao Duc Thang, Chairman cum General Director of the Viettel Group.

 

Based on the agreement, Viettel will provide consultancy related to digital transformation; build telecommunications infrastructures, deploy 5G network; introduce solutions and technologies for upgrading digital platforms and databases, especially cloud computing. Viettel Group will also provide support for the Provincial People's Committee to implement digital government development tasks; propose and introduce digital transformation solutions in the fields of tourism, transportation, agriculture, postal services, e-commerce; propose smart platforms for healthcare, education, tourism and so on.

 

 

 

Nguyen Hai Ninh asked the Provincial People's Committee to urgently develop a specific cooperation plan; clearly define and focus on implementing key cooperation contents, especially mobilizing the participation of businesses, the community and budget resources in development of the digital economy. He hoped Viettel Group would invest more in areas of its strength, especially logistics and data center services; and provide digital transformation training in the province.

 

Nguyen Tan Tuan affirmed that the cooperation agreement showed the determination of the province to take advantage of opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and asked the Provincial Digital Transformation Steering Committee to focus on coordinating with Viettel to develop a detailed plan for the digital transformation cooperation to be soon implemented.
