In recent years, vocational training schools under the Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs have much innovated student enrolment and training process, contributing to improving human resources, meeting increasing labor market demands.
 
Flexible in enrollment and training
 
Cam Ranh Vocational School has cooperated with local authorities, organizations and high schools to provide vocational counseling, including about benefits of vocational education. In addition, the school has targeted suitable careers meeting learners’ interests and labor market demands. Practical classes are focused to facilitate learners’ access to practical skills and knowledge, meeting increasing employment requirements. In 2021-2022 academic year, the school enrolled 398 students taking intermediate courses, accounting for 104.73% of the plan; and 600 for primary courses and regular education courses, making up 100% of the plan. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the school has enrolled 100 for intermediate courses, over 200 for primary courses and regular education courses, according to Do Quang Thien, Principal of Cam Ranh Vocational School.

Experiential learning at Dien Khanh Vocational School.
 
Dien Khanh Vocational School has applied information technology and taken advantage of social media for vocational counseling and orientation and training innovation with 90% practice classes; linked with some enterprises to provide chances for experiential learning and apprenticeship. Besides, the school has invited skilled engineers and experts to join the vocational training. In 2021-2022 school year, the school enrolled 250 students for intermediate courses, accounting for 100% of the plan; 394 for primary courses and regular education courses, making up 106.49% of the plan. In 2022-2023 year, the school has enrolled 244 for intermediate courses, over 252 for primary courses and regular education courses.
 
8 vocational schools under the Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs have made great effort in student enrolment and training innovation. In the 2021-2022 academic year,  in spite of Covid-19 impacts, the school flexibly applied information technology in student enrolment and training; flexibly provided high-demand job training; and linked with enterprises in training to widen employment opportunities after graduation.
 
 
Improving training quality
 
In the 2021-2022 year, 8 vocational schools under the Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs enrolled and provided intermediate-level training for 2,654 students; primary training and regular education for 4,003; vocational training for 4,744 high school students; job counseling for 5,570. In the academic year 2022-2023, the schools have enrolled 1,605 for intermediate-level training, 2,776 students for elementary-level training and regular education; provided vocational training for 74 young people having completed military service; vocational training for 240 employees working in small and medium-size enterprises; and vocational training for 18 people with disabilities.
 
Khanh Hoa Economics School regularly innovates and improves training quality to meet increasing demands of businesses and the labor market. Therefore, in the coming time, the school will promote digital transformation, focusing on meeting standards for digital schools, digital infrastructures, digital labs, digital textbooks, digital curricula, applying virtual reality technology; developing digital learning materials, infrastructures, platforms, adapting training content to actual requirements, said Le Van Luong, Principal of Khanh Hoa Economics School.
 
Along with improving training quality, Ninh Hoa Vocational School will focus on raising teaching staff’s competence; strengthening links with enterprises participating in the training process, expanding experiential learning; calling businesses to invest in and coordinate in training to ensure employability after graduation; looking to high-demand occupations for training, preparing human resources for Van Phong Economic Zone, according to Mac Tien Hung, Principal of Ninh Hoa Vocational School.
 
According to Ta Hong Quang, Director of the Department of labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs, the Government has issued an action plan to implement the Politburo’s Resolution 09 on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province by 2030 with a vision to 2045, with the target of trained workers reaching 85%, including 31% with qualifications in 2021-2025 period; trained workers at 90%, including 40% with qualifications in 2026-2030 period.
 
Therefore, in the coming time, the 8 vocational schools will focus on renovating and further improving the quality of human resource training, focusing on promoting digital transformation, modernizing facilities, and innovating curricula and methods; developing qualified vocational trainers, teachers, artisans, experts and managers; promoting close link with enterprises and the labor market to develop high-quality human resources.
