The Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies has strengthened solidarity and promoted volunteering in various sectors, making progress in implementing professional tasks and youth campaigns.
Volunteering for community
The Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies has 50 Youth Union affiliations with 3,035 members. In the 2017 – 2022 term, the Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies has directed and implemented several practical campaigns and activities attached with political duties.
According to Huynh Hoang Phuoc, Secretary of the Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies, the youth has showed enthusiasm and creativeness in the implementation of volunteering activities for the community’s sake such as providing medical check-ups for over 5,000 residents, offering over 750 gifts with a total funding of VND1.5 billion to Heroic Vietnamese mothers, veterans and policy beneficiaries, revolutionaries and their families, needy students, front-line health workers and young people impacted by Covid-19. Besides, Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies and its affiliations have also served 1,000 portions to residents in Vinh Luong Commune, Nha Trang City; giving 179 gifts, 100 blankets and other necessities to pupils at Giang Ly Primary School in Khanh Vinh District. Other campaigns have included the youth getting involved in new rural construction and urban civilization; renovating the landscape of Hon Du revolutionary base in Khanh Vinh; building stone benches at Yen Phi Park, Nha Trang City; and eco-friendly street lighting in Vinh Luong Commune (Nha Trang City), Ninh Tan Commune (Ninh Hoa Town) and Van Phu Commune (Van Ninh District).

Implementing the campaign "the youth protect the environment in response to climate change", the Youth Union has released thousands of shrimp and fish breeders totaling more than VND47500 million in an effort to regenerate marine resources; maintained and developed volunteering teams to save the environment, run plastic-free awareness campaigns, the program “For a green Vietnam” and photo contest "Challenge to change" in response to the plastic-free campaign organized by the Provincial Youth Union; carried out at least 4 Green Sunday activities /year, joined hands to clean up the environment, clean up the beach and clear garbage blackspots.
Boosting digital transformation
Making good use of its advantages, the Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies has carried out several projects on scientific and technological application in production and professional tasks together with provincial tourism support. Outstanding projects included the youth project "Digital transformation in propaganda and promotion of Khanh Hoa tourism" with QR codes linking to websites introducing historical sites, tourist attractions and historic sites in the province, contributing to promoting digital transformation and propaganda about cultural and traditional values and history of Khanh Hoa among domestic and foreign tourists.
In the campaign " Innovative youth" with the motto "Each young person has an innovative idea", the Youth Union of provincial agencies has motivated and supported Youth Union members and young people to conduct scientific research and participate in online competitions launched by the Provincial Youth Union and Central Youth Union. Many initiatives and models of Youth Union members and young people have won high prizes such as the Model "Axle grinding machine" by the Secretary of the Youth Union of Van Ninh Vocational College; "Practicing conveyor belts for product sorting according to height " by the Secretary of the Youth Union of Cam Ranh Vocational College; "Smart parking system at school" by the Youth Union members of Le Quy Don Gifted High School, etc.
Moreover, other initiatives to improve workplace efficiency include Integrating customer satisfaction assessment and survey with online public administrative service app of Khanh Hoa Province" by the Youth Union of Department of Science and Technology; or the use of QR codes on receipts of administrative documents for citizens, organizations and businesses by the Youth Union of Department of Information and Communications.
With constant efforts made to fulfill assignments and achieve targets, in the last term, the Youth Union of the provincial agencies received certificates of merit by the Central Youth Union, the Provincial People's Committee and the Party Committee of the provincial agencies; and excellent emulation flags for consecutive years from 2017 to 2021 and in the term 2017 - 2022.
