Khanh Hoa Youth Union and Comrade Association at all levels are organizing several activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival for children in remote and disadvantaged communities.
Nha Trang City Youth Union and Comrade Association have just held a moon night festival for children in Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District. Apart from gifts containing lanterns for 200 kids, there were various exciting activities, including painting masks, making lanterns, trying fun quizzes, enjoying moon night feasts, joining lantern procession, etc.

Bo Bo Thi Hong said, “I’m so happy to get a Moon Festival gift, see unicorn dance and have a moon night feast. I have not taken part in such an interesting activity for a long time.”
In order to bring a hilarious festive environment to kid patients at Khanh Hoa General Hospital, Khanh Hoa Youth Federation celebrated the Mid-autumn Festival on September 7 with unicorn dance, 30 gifts worth VND500,000 each offered to disadvantaged kid patients; 200 salanganes’ nest gifts and Mid-autumn Festival gifts to kids. On the same evening, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Youth Federation in partnership with the Union of Friendship Organizations held a Mid-autumn Festival at Phuoc Tien Primary School, presenting Mid-autumn gifts to kids and 40 gifts to foreign kids living and studying in Nha Trang City.
On September 9, Khanh Hoa Children’s House will organize a Mid-autumn Festival for kids at social service centers, orphanages, etc. This is an annual activity to bring joy to orphaned and homeless children. They will enjoy a fun festive atmosphere with musical performance and a moon night feast. Besides, 1,200 Mid-autumn Festival gifts will be given to kids, especially the disadvantaged, according to Nguyen Phuong Doanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Children’s House.
In Khanh Vinh, the Youth Unions of Khanh Hoa Public Security, Khanh Vinh District, Nha Trang College of Pedagogy and Submarine Brigade 189 will organize a moon night festival for kids in mountainous areas on September 9, offering 143 gifts to kids at Song Cau Primary School; and 120 gifts to kids at Vanh Khuyen Nursery School, Song Cau Commune.
The Provincial Youth Union in cooperation with the Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Salanganes’ Nest Company presented 31 scholarships worth VND1 million each to children; and 100 Mid-autumn gifts containing moon cakes and lanterns to children in Truong Sa District. The gifts are to bring more fun and motivate students to overcome barriers and do their best, according to Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.
