Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy, formerly known as the National Child Care and Education Teacher Training School III, was founded on September 26, 1987. For over 35 years of construction and development, Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy has become one of high quality teacher training schools in the Central Region and the Highlands.
According to Ph.D Nguyen Trung Trieu, Principal of Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy, for over 35 years of construction and development, the College has provided training for over 30,000 students together with short-term nursery education management and music professional training courses for the Central Region and the Highlands; cooperated with universities to open Bachelor Degree courses and programs on nursery education, physical education, music and English language. Its Thuc Hanh Nursery School and Integration Education Development Support Center are well equipped for providing child care, education and consultancy as well as students’ hands-on learning.

Improving training quality, the school has boosted scientific research among lecturers and students. The college has had 45 scientific researches and 9 ministry-level projects approved and applied in reality; and over 450 student-conducted scientific researches graded good. Every year, 4 - 7 scientific researches at grass-roots levels are examined and approved. Working towards international education and research standards, the college has promoted cooperation with several foreign universities and colleges in South Korea, Laos, Denmark, Russia, U.S.A, Canada, Finland and so on.
Like many other colleges of pedagogy nationwide, Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy is facing challenges and difficulties under the re-planning of universities and schools of pedagogy. The college has made prompt plans in response to the policy. Under the amended Law on Education, from 2022, the college has remained only nursery education courses. The college will boost student enrolment and focus on improving facilities and capacities to become a center of teacher training and professional development for teachers and nursery education management officials in the Central Region and the Highlands; develop Thuc Hanh Nursery School as a high-quality nursery facility and the Integration Education Development Support Center as a prestigious facility for care and education for children with special needs. The college has also strengthened cooperation with educational faculties to build and develop skills of school children.
Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy has 5 departments, 2 faculties, 3 centers and 1 practice school with a total of 135 staff and nearly 1,000 students. The college is one of the 9 colleges recognized having met education standards by the Ministry of Education & Training nationwide. The college has been awarded the first, second and third Labor Medals; emulation flags, certificates of merits and many other emulation titles by the ministries and departments.
