The National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) is scheduled to be celebrated for the first time nationwide with numerous practical activities.
The Prime Minister issued a decision on April 22, 2022 to designate October 10 as the National Digital Transformation Day. The event is marked annually to accelerate national digital transformation as well as the National Digital Transformation Program by 2025, vision to 2030. It is also to raise public awareness on the role, significance and benefits of digital transformation; and promote the involvement of the entire political system and people so as to ensure the success of digital transformation, according to Pham Duy Loc, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Information & Communications.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a plan on October 3 to organize the National Digital Transformation Day in the province. Accordingly, on October 10, there will be an online and in-person event to respond to the National Digital Transformation Day with the participation of nearly 900 representatives of the Provincial Party Committee, Government, Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations; leaders of schools, institutes, professional associations and enterprises inside and outside the province.
During the event, there will be activities such as presenting some digital transformation products that have been developed; introducing technological solutions and products to serve the development of digital government, digital economy, digital society and smart city development; successful models of digital transformation applied in enterprises; technological solutions and products to serve digital transformation in enterprises; announcing programs to support small and medium-sized enterprises in digital transformation; organizing digital transformation training programs for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province, etc.
The Ministry of Information & Communications confirms digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all business areas, fundamentally changing how they operate and deliver value to customers. Digital transformation turns innovation cost to benefits and value, focusing on efficiency evaluation; switching from separate individual softwares to a shared digital platform; from technology application to operation and performance change; from partial to comprehensive evolution; shifting the focus from the person in charge of IT to the head of the agency or enterprises; from personal computers to cloud computing; from investing in softwares to multi-tenant hosted applications; from buying products and equipment to buying services, etc.
In addition, the digital transformation also shifts the focus from technology experts to community digital technology groups; from good software developers to good users of softwares; from IT system to digital environment; from automation to intelligence. Obviously, digital transformation is the result of IT application combined with comprehensive digitization, database, innovation and digital technology, added Pham Duy Loc.
