At the 7th session, the delegates of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council discussed and approved in principle the investment in 3 important projects serving digital transformation in Khanh Hoa.
According to Pham Duy Loc, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend of the world. The province has set a goal by 2025 to fundamentally and comprehensively renovate the management and administration towards a digital government, develop a digital economy and digital society; promote production and business towards the application of digital technology; and bring the province among the top 25 centrally-run provinces and cities in digital transformation. From now to 2030, Khanh Hoa Province will strive to be a smart urban area, ranked among the top 20 centrally-governed provinces and cities in terms of digital transformation.
At the 7th session, the Provincial People’s Council discussed and approved in principle the investment in 3 important projects for the provincial digital transformation, including building Local Government Service Platform (LGSP), a smart operating monitoring center (phase 1); additional IT infrastructures for the Project "Developing applications for population database, e-identification and e-authentication for national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" in the province.
Specifically, the Provincial Government Service Platform is the most important component in the provincial digital government structures. The project has a total capital of more than VND14.7 billion, implemented in the period of 2022 – 2023 for building Provincial Government Service Platform and purchasing and installing technical infrastructures for the Provincial Government Service Platform.
When completed, the project is expected to help promote information connection among State agencies in the province, sharing and getting connected with national information systems through National Government Service Platform (NGSP).
The project on a smart operating monitoring center (phase 1) is the central component of the provincial digital transformation in order to serve the Provincial People’s Committee’s management and direction; as well as provide information and data for local agencies and authorities.
The project invests in developing 6 internal softwares, building a data source to serve the operation of the center; IT equipment and commercial softwares for the operation of databases and software systems; software and database management and operation training and transfer; developing and providing consultancy on the promulgation of a legal system for the center management and operation.
The project on additional IT infrastructures for the Project "Developing applications for population, e-identification and e-authentication for national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" in the province (or Project 06 in short) has a total capital of more than VND20.4 billion, implemented in the period 2022 - 2023.
The project sets a target of sufficient IT infrastructures at the Provincial Data Center to ensure smooth, safe and effective connection and integration of the province's information systems with the National Population Database. This is a prerequisite for essential public services and other services related to the National Population Database according to the target of Project 06.
