The Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology, Khanh Hoa Department has made great effort in the implementation of science and technology projects at provincial level, bringing effective results.
According to the leader of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology, the propaganda for advanced science and technology and application of provincial scientific and technological research results are the two main duties of the center. In addition to disseminating advanced techniques, the center has presided over and worked with technology transfer agencies to develop 2 models of artificial propagation and 2 models of commercial farming of the Cobia and Red drum. The models have been expanded with estimated 30 establishments applying artificial breeding techniques and hundreds of households applying the commercial farming process of the Cobia and Red drum, bringing stable jobs for about 250 people with an income of VND8-10 million/ month/ person.

In addition, the center has developed 7 economical watering combined with fertilizing models in Khanh Phu Commune, Khanh Vinh District; Ba Cum Bac (Khanh Son District); Cam Phuc Bac Ward (Cam Ranh City); Suoi Tan Commune, Cam Thanh Bac, Cam Lam District and Dien Xuan Commune, Dien Khanh District. The 7 models are still operational and being utilized by families.
The model of artificial breeding and commercial farming of sipunculus nudus in Khanh Hoa directed by PhD. Vo The Dung, Research Institute for Aquaculture III has successfully built a demonstration model of artificial propagation and commercial farming of sipunculus nudus. 6 households and 2 breeding farms applying the artificial breeding and commercial farming procedures, creating work for 16-18 people, earning VND7-9 million/ month/ person.
Regarding the model of completing the cultivation and preservation process of green Siamese coconut in Khanh Hoa, the center has improved and manufactured a suitable coconut peeling machine, ensuring 98% efficient with a capacity of 250- 300 fruits/ hour; deploying 1 model of green Siamese coconut cultivation, construction phase (2-4 years), yield of 30-50 fruits/ tree/ year; 3 models of green Siamese coconut gardening in a commercial phase (10-15 years), stable yield of 70-90 fruits/ tree/ year; and 1 model on preserving Siamese coconuts, fresh and peeled. Up to now, the models have provided stable income for households. Moreover, many other projects have been also developed.
According to Nguyen Tan Thanh, Director of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology, in order to propagate the results of provincial-level science and technology research and advanced science and techniques, the center has contacted localities to assess technology needs, select potential leaners to get involved in the training; choose suitable technology and make plans for the coordination in the application. Despite great efforts to conduct assigned tasks, there are still many challenges. The center suggested that competent authorities should promote the efficiency of applying the results of science and technology tasks; speed up the implementation of investment projects to improve material and technical capacities of the center, etc.
Since 2019, the center has propagandized 30 scientific and technological projects at provincial level; 8 advanced techniques and provided training for thousands of people, issued 8,000 leaflets and 250 posters, etc.
