The contractor is making efforts to mobilize human and equipment resources to accelerate traffic project progress in Khanh Hoa Province. All the constructions invested by Khanh Hoa Department of Transport are scheduled to be completed and put into operation by December 31, helping to facilitate travel.
According to Nguyen Van Truc, Director of the Management Board of Rural Construction Projects, due to delay in funding allocation, the projects started later than expected with the earliest in July. Many constructions have been put into service and the remaining are being speeded up. All the constructions are expected to be complete and operational by December 31.
5 Provincial budget- funded traffic repair projects completed and put into use include Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Nha Trang City, Cam Lam District; Provincial Road 8B, Country Lane 62, Provincial Road 8 and Provincial Road 1B. 3 constructions namely Lap Dinh – Suoi Mon in Cam Lam District are 70% complete; Provincial Road 9 in Khanh Son District is 70% complete and bridges on Provincial Road 8 in Dien Khanh District, Khanh Vinh District are 80% complete.
2 constructions funded by the maintenance budget in progress include My Ca - Cam An Nam (Cam Ranh City, Cam Lam District), 80% complete; Ca Hon Bridge (Khanh Vinh District), 50% complete. 2 periodic repair works on National Highway 1C and National Highway 27B have been completed and put into operation.
In addition, the construction project on the Provincial Road 2 has basically finished. The route Lap Dinh - Suoi Mon is being asphalted. On the Provincial Road 9, road-bed construction is in progress, getting ready for asphalt pavement installation and drainage work in some sections. Bridges on the Provincial Road 8 are underway with concrete casting and work on ways leading to the bridges.
Unfavorable weather conditions with downpours recently have affected the construction progress. However, the constructions are due to complete this year, so the contractor is speeding up the progress whenever the weather permits while assuring traffic safety during the construction. Especially, the contractor is required to make preparedness plans to enhance the resilience of road networks to flooding, according to Nguyen Van Dan, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transportation.
