Nha Trang City Urban Environmental Joint Stock Company is implementing a traffic island project at the 6-way intersection in Nha Trang City. The new design is a modern LED lighting system reflecting wave-like structures holding a giant pearl. The construction is scheduled to finish before January 14, 2023.

Nha Trang City People’s Committee has assigned Nha Trang City Urban Environmental Joint Stock Company to rebuild the traffic island at the 6-way intersection due to long term use to set the ambiance and enhance the city embellishment. The project is designed by VILIGHT Company, Ltd. and executed by Trong Nghia Construction Company Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City) and Dung Loi Company Ltd. (Nha Trang).
Pham Vinh Nghiep, Director of Green Trees Enterprise, Nha Trang City Urban Environmental Joint Stock Company said, the size of the new traffic island is basically unchanged but with granite curb. 5 pillars are set up for flag banners. Plants are pruned and arranged into ornamental shapes of the words “Nha Trang, a heroic city” and a 5-pointed star. The biggest change is the LED lighting system in 5-wave like structures and a sustainable steel - supported giant pearl in the middle.
Unlike common decorative lighting systems, the highly aesthetic LED system is in a design of 5 waves reflecting the image of the coastal city; and efforts and aspiration to build the Nha Trang City to be thriving and beautiful and the sparkling pearl is the symbol of achievements.
According to the design, a smart lighting control cabinet is used for the LED lighting system. The power of the lights is adjustable from 10 to 100%, so the brightness of the lights can be changed according to the operating scenario or based on the lighting situation of a day. The LED system is connected to a Digital Multiplex Signal (DMX) Controller. Depending on the lighting scenario, the LED system will display a variety of slogans on every occasion and holiday to promote the destination of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
Reportedly, Nha Trang City People's Committee has consulted design ideas and construction plans from provincial departments and agencies. Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company held construction bidding as soon as the project was approved. The project is scheduled to last for 45 days, but the company is speeding up the progress, striving to complete the work before January 14, 2023 (the 23th day of the last lunar month, according to Pham Vinh Nghiep.
