Nguyen Hai Ninh, Central Party Committee Member, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee received Susan Burns, U.S. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City on December 5. Also at the reception were Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and Le Huu Tho, Head of Provincial Department of Propaganda & Training.
Nguyen Hai Ninh gave an overview of the provincial socio-economic context, especially potentials, strengths and development strategies. With the Central Government's much concern for local socio-economic growth currently, the province hopes to receive support from foreign partners, including the U.S.A in such sectors as renewable energy, high-tech manufacturing and logistics.

Susan Burns highly appreciated the province's socio-economic achievements in recent years as well as development orientations.
