Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Project Management Board founded based on the inheritance and development from Nha Trang City Environmental Sanitation Improvement Project Management Board (formed in 2006) is the investor of some State budget and ODA projects, including Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project (CCSEP), Nha Trang City sub-project.
The Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project, Nha Trang City sub-project (CCSEP Nha Trang in short) is one of big projects invested by Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Project Management Board. CCSEP Nha Trang is being accelerated. Under the direction of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, Nha Trang City People’s Committee has presided over and cooperated with concerned agencies to speed up the site clearance.

The Project Compensation, Assistance and Resettlement Council has increased regular meetings (at least 2 times per week) to reach approved plans for compensation, support, resettlement and give solutions to problems arising during the site clearance.
Khanh Hoa Center for Land Fund Development has completed the land origin verification of hundreds of cases in Van Thang Ward and Ngoc Hiep Ward, Nha Trang City; made hundreds of plans submitted to the Project Compensation, Assistance and Resettlement Council for approval before going on public display to get residents’ ideas.
Khanh Hoa Center for Land Fund Development has also sped up the land measurement and inventory as well as the collection of information related to households affected by the project in Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City. Besides, Nha Trang City People’s Committee has also assigned the city Division of Natural Resources & Environment to preside over and cooperate with the Center for Land Fund Development and the Provincial Development Project Management Board to organize a meeting to assess plans submitted to the city People’s Committee for approval to meet compensation schedules.
Nha Trang City People’s Committee has also issued decisions related to such constructions as a waste water treatment plant in northern area, a rainwater pump station, Chu Dong Tu Road and northern Cai River dykes and embankment.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Management Board for Development Projects has completed site clearance compensation for 46 cases affected by constructions mentioned above. In the coming time, the Provincial Development Project Management Board will continue boosting site clearance compensation and land handover for the construction as scheduled.
According to Ho Tan Quang, Director of the Provincial Development Project Management Board, CCSEP Nha Trang, is being accelerated, focusing on land resettlement and compensation to meet schedules committed to the World Bank. The Provincial Development Project Management Board has made the most of site clearance compensation policies to ensure residents’ benefits. The project needs the consensus and support of locals, especially those subject to resettlement in order to meet the schedules assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee.
