Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting with relevant departments and agencies on the implementation of Ngoc Hoi intersection project, Nha Trang City on February 22. Provincial Vice-Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee also attended the meeting.
According to a report, up to now, the contractor has completed the construction of 236/296 bored piles, 33/43 bridge piers and 22/35 spans of the project. The contractor has also completed concreting 2 spans, is constructing the structure of the remaining spans of branch N1 (east of roundabout); roundabout and median strip of branch N3 (west of roundabout), branch road N1. Resettlement site No. 1 has been 98% completed. Resettlement area No. 2 has been completed and accepted by the Department of Transport; approved by the Provincial People's Committee and temporarily handed over to Nha Trang City People's Committee.

Nguyen Van Dan, Director of the Department of Transport confirmed that the project has not met the schedule required under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee due to some objective reasons and the lack of an optimal construction plan.
Reportedly, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has sent a document requesting investors to overcome obstacles and speed up work progress to meet the schedule. The work delay is due to problems in site clearance and compensation related to 290 plots affected. The Provincial Land Fund Development Center has completed the inventory and confirmed the origin of the land. The Council for Compensation, Support and Resettlement of Nha Trang City approved the compensation plan for 95 cases, appraised 90 cases and paid the compensation to 73 cases. 82 cases have handed the land over (28.2%).
According to Dang Huu Tai, Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investor has pledged to ensure the completion of the roundabout intersection and technical opening of connecting routes from Nha Trang to Dien Khanh and vice versa to traffic.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Nha Trang City People's Committee and Provincial Land Fund Development Center, Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to closely coordinate to complete site clearance and land handover to the investor in February. Nha Trang City People's Committee must have plans for cases subject to coercion related to site clearance.

Regarding the northern branch of the project, the units were asked to complete the inventory, verify the origin of the land and propose the compensation price for affected cases in June. Nha Trang City People's Committee and related functional forces are mainly responsible for ensuring traffic safety, especially traffic control during the project implementation. The investor must have an appropriate construction solution to meet the progress as committed; ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation at the construction site and minimize impacts on residents’ life.
