In mid March, a group of experienced Australian lifeguards in cooperation with Nha Trang Bay Management Board opened a beach lifesaving training course to improve rescue skills at sea and thus build confidence and develop competence of beach lifeguard team members.

The training started early in the morning with the participation of members of the Beach Life Guard Team, Nha Trang Bay Management Board. Lifeguards must immediately respond to emergency situations, using lifebuoys, surf boards, water scooters, etc to reach and safely bring victims ashore. Beach lifeguards must have appropriate training and maintain their fitness standards to meet the demands of their role.

After that, the rescue team members conducted beach rescue procedures, using safety buoys and boards to save swimmers in danger in a scenario and then received comments and suggestions from experts.

According to Nguyen Hoang Minh Tuyen, a member of the Beach Rescue Team, the Australian experts helped him and other members to improve lifesaving skills for more effective rescue operations.
