Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union has implemented various practical and meaningful activities to mark the 1983rd anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ Uprising and 113th International Women’s Day (March 8).
The 2023 International Women’s Day is themed “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”. According to Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Women’s Union Nguyen Quynh Nga, the Provincial Women’s Union has enhanced propaganda via mass media on gender issues and equality; practical activities in the province. In addition, the union has continued enhancing evolutionary ideal and tradition education.

Numerous meaningful activities such as tradition education, talk shows, picnics and tours have been organized. Specifically, they included launching the campaign on "raising piggy banks” (Nha Trang City), organizing a beauty contest for military women (Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters); launching a special emulation campaign themed "Military women's solidarity, intelligence, bravery, creativity and pride in tradition" (Khanh Hoa Border Defense Headquarters) and "Ninh Hoa women towards the national sea and islands" (Ninh Hoa Town) and so on.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union has implemented several activities to care for its members such as “Sponsorship program” and “millions of aid gifts” assisting women in economic development. Especially, the sponsorship program has expanded assistance to kids who lost parents to Covid-19 and other severe diseases.
355 children are currently under the sponsorship by the Women’s Union at all levels. The program has expanded to cover more vulnerable kids to assist them in overcoming difficulties and continuing with their academic pursuits.
Moreover, programs on propaganda, education, advocacy and support for women in solving women-related social issues in the period 2017 - 2027" (Project 938); supporting women with business start-up in the period of 2017 - 2025” (Project 939); plastic waste control; and capacity building in information technology application and access to the digital government have also been widely implemented by the Union at all levels and gained many important achievements.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union has launched an emulation campaign since the first quarter of the year with practical activities such as the Week "Ao dai - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" on March 1-8; tree planting themed "Women cultivate the future", response to the Prime Minister’s Project “Planting one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period; sporting, physical exercise and flash mob models among members and women; suitable cultural, musical and sporting activities in celebration of the 370th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province’s construction and development and gift offer for female prisoners.
Furthermore, the Women’s Union has continued conducting propaganda and mobilizing the emulation campaign “Developing dynamic, creative and aspirational women" in Khanh Hoa linked with the implementation of Directive No. 05; learning and following of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style on promoting the cultural values and strength of Vietnamese people associated with the aspiration to build Khanh Hoa Province to become a centrally-governed city by 2030”; promote social security and charity activities, continue spreading the sponsorship program; visit and offer gifts to families in difficult circumstances; get engaged in developing new rural areas and civilized cities, etc.
