The second National Beach Football will take place in Hue in June. Khanh Hoa team are determined to defend the title they won in the first tournament.
In 2007, Beach Football was put into Khanh Hoa Sea Festival as a sporting competition for the first time. Then, an official tournament named the first Khanh Hoa Beach Football Open was held on Nha Trang Beach in 2008. However, the tournament was really successful only in 2009. Also in 2009, Khanh Hoa Province hosted the first National Beach Football Tournament and won the championship. Then, nine players of Khanh Hoa and one player of Ninh Thuan were selected for the national team and sent to Asian Beach Games 2008, a great tournament of the region which was held at Bali Beach in Indonesia. This was a pride of Khanh Hoa Province when the country with many localities goes along the seacoast.

This year, the National Beach Football will be held at Thuan An Beach in Hue from June 1 to 8 with the participation of eight teams, namely Hai Phong, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan.
Khanh Hoa team set a target to defend the championship title. The team have been making careful preparation for the national event.
In March, 2010, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a provincial beach football tournament. According to Tran Thanh Tung, an official of the department, the provincial tournament this year achieved a complete success. Quality of the tournament as well as players has been improved much. Many players who joined the first National Beach Football Tournament such as Xuan Huy, Huu Phuc, Tuan Anh, Minh Duc, Van Nam and Quoc Hoang still preserves their manners. They are advantage for the provincial team at the coming national tournament. Additionally, the tournament has found some new excellent players, they are Long Tuan, Ngoc Tri, Trung Thanh, Ba Cong and Minh Tuan.
Khanh Hoa beach football team now are practicing promptly for the national event. They are ready to join the second National Beach Football Tournament.
