Two major awards including Best in Ao Dai and Best in Long Gown went to Tijana Rakic from Sebia and Stephanie Pazmino from Ecuador at Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province on November 17.
The show took place on an imposing stage which was designed like a Vietnamese village with ancient communal house’s roofs, green bamboo hedge and Vietnamese bronze drum in the light of yellow and blue symbolizing two colors of earth and heaven. In the soft music of Vietnamese songs, 39 beauties all over the world performed Vietnamese traditional costume Ao Dai and 40 ones joined in a long gown performance.
. Charming in Ao Dai
Ao Dai performance was an original act when 39 beauties wore the Vietnamese costume. The foreign beauties really surprised the audience as they were so graceful and slender in Ao Dai. The beauties were well integrated with Vietnamese culture while Ao Dai suits were like warm hugs and sentiments from Vietnam towards the beauties all over the world. The Ao Dai suits at the show were designed by ABC brand name. The beauties were more charming with palm-leaf conical hats, Vietnamese turbans, bags, flower baskets and silk bands. Beside this, every beauty still showed their character through their performances.

Among 39 beauties in Ao Dai contest, the jury chose top 5 finalists, including Chinese Taipei (Hsing Jung-Lui), Korea (Lee Gui-joo), Nicaragua (Junieth Rosales),
Philippines (Kris Psyche Resus) and Serbia (Tijana Rakic). The beauty from Serbia, who wore a beautiful orange Vietnamese Ao Dai and had an impressive style of performance, finally won the title Best in Ao Dai. “This result is beyond my imagination. To me, wearing Ao Dai is special and wearing it best is really miraculous. Vietnamese traditional costume is really beautiful and charming”, said Tijana Rakic. The Serb beauty is a 23-year-old university student. Her height is 1.75 meters and her body measurements are 90-76-95.
The Best in Ao Dai winner was awarded a 5-millimeter diamond bullet and some valuable presents from sponsors.

. Splendid in long gowns
The long gown competition with 40 contestants followed after the Ao Dai performance. It was a colorful and good-looking show with 40 splendid long gowns made by a Vietnamese designer named Hoang Ngan. 40 contestants looked confident, active and modern in their performances. Vietnamese beauty Luu Thi Diem Huong joined in this contest.
The five finalists were from Thailand, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Ecuador and Venezuela. Jennifer Stephanie Pazmino, 22, from Ecuador, charmed the jury and audiences with a white dress and won Best in Long Gown Award. She’s 1.8 meters tall and her body measurements are 90-64-96. She’s an MC for a television channel in Ecuador.

The Best in Long Gown winner got a jewelry set worth USD30,000 made by Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company.
Thus, along with Miss India (Talent Competition winner) and Miss Japan (Best in National Costume winner), Miss Serbia and Miss Ecuador will enter top 15 of the final show which is scheduled to be held at Vinpearl Resort, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam on December 4.
