Home Christmas present delivery service by Santa Claus is offered by all big bookstores as well as supermarkets and many stationery shops in the city. Every shop has about 5 – 8 Santa Clauses to bring present to children from December 23 to December 25.

Price of this service is around VND30,000 for a present, a 5% rise over last season.

At Thong Nhat Bookstore, presents are wrapped free on December 23 and 24 and those worth VND300,000 and over are delivered free. Christmas present delivery service by Santa Claus costs VND10,000 – VND15,000/present for under-2km distance and VND25,000 – VND35,000/present for over-2km one.

Phuong Nam Bookstore, presents worth VND250,000 are delivered free. Cheaper ones are charged VND30,000 each as being brought home by Santa Claus. In case of two presents in the same address, more VND15,000 is for the second.

At Gia Dinh news stand, located at 96 Tran Nguyen Han Street, Nha Trang, the normal price is VND30,000/present but the figure is VND40,000 on December 24.

Mai Phuong bookstore at 2-4 Street charges VND25,000/present from December 23 to 8pm, December 24 and VND30,000/present later.

To make Christmas present delivery more meaningful, this year stores pay more attention to present giving art of Santa Claus. Mai Phuong owner said, “After giving children present, Santa Claus will hug and talk with them for a while.” Meanwhile, Gia Dinh news stand has a team of five Santa Clauses and white angels who will give presents to children and help their parents to send them some messages or advice, making this activity more meaningful and educational.
